Vegan friendly South Downs

Looking for those Vegan hotspots around the South Downs? I think I may have just saved you some time. I’ve found some great places that specialise in vegan food and drinks to get you started.

The Beech Café

Using as many local suppliers as possible, with fresh bread baked daily, Vegan cake to eat in or takeaway. Creating new and exciting dishes and providing plenty of options and choices. Find them in the sustainability centre in East Meon .

Sage Vegan Café

A family run vegan café, that is 100% vegan and even pledges to minimise pollution by using compostable packaging where possible. On top of its welcoming feel it offers some amazing food options including superfruit smoothies, a range of vegan burgers and curries along with some amazing cakes and treats. Find Sage Vegan Café in Crawley.

Cactus Kitchen Gals

Their aim is to make GOOD bad vegan food. With everything from burgers, loaded fries to homemade treats. Open till 8pm on Saturdays its somewhere to visit later for a main meal not just tea and cake. To visit Cactus Kitchen Gals head over to Worthing.

We love Falafel

Serving falafel in pretty much anyway you can think of, this really is quite and interesting spot. Everything is vegetarian with majority of it being vegan there is a falafel for everyone. Wraps, Melts and salad boxes you’ll never look at a falafel the same way again. Based in Brighton.

This is just a tiny selection of vegan only or vegan specialist restaurants in the South Downs area. I hope you enjoy sampling all the food and trying it out for yourselves. As always let me know of any gems I’m missing out on

Happy Adventuring!!
