Petersfield is a lovely little Market town full of lovely green spaces and a high street with a market square, this quaint little town is definitely worth a visit especially if you go to some of these spots whilst your there. Just a short walk from the town centre is a place of beauty and tranquillity, the heath and lake are wonderful places to visit whilst in Petersfield. Fishing and Boat rental is available during certain months, there is also a lovely children’s play area. Bring the whole family and go exploring, look out for the wonderful wildlife lurking throughout the reserve and why not bring along a picnic, sit back and relax.
The Physic garden is a private garden that is open to the public free of charge, it is a gorgeous spot to wander and take in the beauty. The name was given due to the types of plants that grow, mostly known for their medical purposes.
If you want to find out a bit more about Petersfield itself this is the place to go, with lots of objects collected from Petersfield and surrounding areas it is a great place to head to, to get a feel for the town (The museum is currently closed for refurbishment and expansion but keep an eye in the website for completion details)
Slightly further afield is Uppark House and Garden, a magnificent National Park House. The Georgian House is an excellent example of the Upstairs – Downstairs lifestyle we have learnt about from history (and Downton Abbey) The Gardens also have a very romantic feel and are a beautiful space to wander around at your leisure.
Maybe you fancy treating yourself to 18 Holes? Why not check out the Petersfield Golf Course, suitable for all level of golfer. They accept visitors and also have a great club house with 360 views of the course, a bar and a restaurant serving delicious home cooked meals.
