As the summer holidays are winding down for families across the country, it’s not too late to take one final adventure before they go back to school – and what better place for an adventure than Eastbourne.
In Eastbourne, there’s plenty to do for you and your little ones. They cannot fail to be energised by the endless grass-topped hills, exciting woodland paths and exhilarating sea views that the South Downs Nation Park has to offer. There, long hours of sunshine and the view of the sea will put you in holiday mode from the moment you arrive. It’s not just endless green hills that the South Downs National Park has to offer, there’s a sheep centre, a wetland centre and Drusillas Park, where children can climb walls, take a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine and cool off in the paddling pool.
If you’re unlucky with the weather and the outdoors are not for you, your children can burn their energy at The Play Station – an indoor soft play centre. It’s suitable for all ages and is packed with tonnes of fun and adventurous play for everyone – from super slides to challenging obstacles.
Let your child’s imagination run with The Eastbourne Mystery Treasure Trail. Suitable for children ages 4 right through to 18, you and the family can uncover all of Eastbourne, South Downs’ mysteries. It’s not all plane sailing though, you’ll need to navigate your way around the town using only your map and a set of clues – so make sure you’re up for the challenge!
“Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside!” If that’s true of you, then you and your family will love the Stagecoach Dotto Mini Train. It’ll take you right along the Eastbourne coast where you can take in the fantastic views. There’s classic building to admire, and for the children, ice cream! Plus, you’ll stop off at Fort Fun on your journey to let off some steam, then end in Sovereign Harbour.
There’s really no excuse not to visit Eastbourne this year! There’s something for children of all ages, families of all sizes, and for every budget. We’ll see you there.
